CM Certification Expands to West Africa

DIRECT LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE RECEIVES AUTHORIZATION TO DELIVER CERTIFIED MANAGER® CERTIFICATION IN WEST AFRICA

Ghana, West Africa – July 2011 – The Direct Leadership Institute (DLI), a training and development firm serving business clients in West Africa, announced today that they have received authorization from the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) to deliver the Certified Manager® (CM®) certification. ICPM is the largest US-based certifying body for managers, supervisors, and leaders. They are recognized worldwide for establishing competencies for the management profession which support high quality and ethical management practice.

With over 10,000 Certified Managers worldwide, CMs represent a diverse set of industries which include government, manufacturing, telecommunications, oil and gas, aerospace, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, education, environmental consulting, law enforcement, and the military. ICPM partners with over 40 select colleges, universities and training organizations to administer the CM certification around the globe.

The CM program is a rigorous, 15-month program that comprises learning, application, and reinforcement of management and leadership principles that can be put to use immediately. Three certification exams validate a level of management competency. Applicants who successfully pass the certification exams earn the right to use the "CM” professional credential, which publicly denotes a level of management competency and leadership potential. ICPM Authorized Training Partners, such as Direct Leadership Institute, facilitate the CM certification by offering customer-centric leadership and management training programs and administering the CM certification exams.
