| Exam Content |
| Each of ICPM's three CM exams covers the content of the study manual of the same name. The exams assess analytical skills, knowledge and decision - making skills, which gives them real - world applicability and value. |
| Exam Formats |
|
Exams are timed and are administered online. All CM exam questions are multiple-choice. Exams are to be taken individually, without assistance from others, with closed books and without notes. Calculators are allowed.
The CM exams are taken on the ICPM online learning center. They are password - protected for security and may be taken on any computer with Internet access. |
| US and International Exam Versions |
|
Separate versions of the CM exams are offered for US and International customers. The US and international exam versions differ in length and content.
US exams contain 120 questions and are administered to applicants who live and work in the USA and to US Military personnel stationed anywhere.
International exams contain 100 questions and do not cover US - specific content, such as US laws and regulations. They are administered to applicants who live and work outside the USA.
A maximum of 2 hours (120 minutes) are allowed for the completion of each exam. |
| Grades and Grading |
|
Exams are scored as pass or fail. Online exams give immediate pass/fail results upon completion. These results are confirmed by an official grading which occurs on the 16th of each month or the next business day. Official results are emailed immediately thereafter.
Detailed feedback is provided in addition to pass/fail results. This feedback highlights both strengths and weaknesses on specific content areas.
Applicants who pass an exam can use it to help them address their areas of weakness. Applicants who fail an exam can use the feedback report to prepare to retake and pass the exam. |
| Exam Registration |

A exam may be taken at any time. To register, a candidate should contact ICPM at least 7 days before his/her intended exam date to request an exam password.
The password will be valid for 14 days. If the exam is not taken within 14 days the candidate must request a new password from ICPM. | |
